Privacy Policy

Last updated 3 September 2026

Shree Murugan Steel Palace (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it and your rights, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the DPDP Act).

What we collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, phone number, delivery address(es) and password (stored securely, never in plain text).
  • Order information — items purchased, order history, and any bargain requests and their status.
  • Payment information — we do not store your card, UPI or bank details. Payments are handled securely by Razorpay, our payment partner, under their own security and compliance standards.
  • Usage information — basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site working and to improve it.

How we use it

  • To process and deliver your orders
  • To manage your account and order history
  • To respond to your bargain requests and support queries
  • To send order updates and, if you opt in, the occasional offer
  • To improve our website and service

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Who we share it with

  • Razorpay — for payment processing
  • Delivery and courier partners — only what is needed to deliver your order (name, address, phone number)
  • VasyERP — our internal inventory and order-management system
  • Law enforcement or regulators — only where legally required

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you can:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention rules, such as order and tax records)
  • Withdraw consent for optional communications, like marketing emails, at any time

To exercise any of these, email shreemurugansteelpalace@gmail.com or call 90906 61966.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No online system is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Cookies

We use basic cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Children’s privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
